Mission statement
Friends of Phoenix is dedicated to preserve, in its natural integrity, an expanse of acreage which surrounds Malibu Phoenix in Malibu's Escondido Canyon.
Goals and Objectives
Friends of Phoenix is a registered non-profit group whose aim is to continue the tradition of private recreation, education, and promote a greater respect for the land while helping each other maintain that essential connection with Nature.
To provide educational seminars, workshops and religious events on the properties.
Keep the energy flowing in harmony with Nature's Laws.
To promote and combine the spiritual relationship between environmental education and scientific understanding.
Foster and promote general public awareness and experience of the spiritual healing benefits of music, light, color, natural health care and the environment.
Allow membership opportunities and ways for all to participate and experience the essential connection with this land and what our it has to offer.
Invite Teachers, Ministers, and Special Invited Guests of All Faiths to gather in & create their own special ceremony while protecting and preserving Sacred Tribal Grounds.
Use our resources to purchase and preserve for future generations these surrounding properties, to protect what building developers, County & State would easily take away from us without necessary funding.
Continue to give our wild animal relatives free access to this land and ourselves a connection to a real nature preserve.
To preserve, protect, and promote Native American Chumash Tribal Grounds, generations of recreational life, and the Nature Sanctuary for canyon wildlife.
Preserve for Eternity the natural beauty and spiritual essence of this canyon.
Offer and provide programs for individuals and groups to join Friends of Phoenix and in return be allowed scheduled use of Malibu Phoenix for their own functions.
Promote mental, physical, and spiritual health awareness through classes and programs designed to offer beginner through advanced level education in these areas.
